Job Details

Company Description With over 15 years of experience in Qatar’s market, our company is a leading General Contractor and Construction firm. We specialize in Civil and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) works, delivering high-quality projects with a focus on innovation and excellence. Our team is committed to providing exceptional construction services tailored to meet the unique needs of our clients.
We are seeking a driven and knowledgeable Business Development Specialist to join our growing team in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of the local GCC construction and MEP market landscape, a well-established professional network in Qatar, and a proven ability to convert market intelligence into sustainable revenue growth. This role is central to expanding our client base across government, semi-government, and private sector entities in alignment with Qatar National Vision 2030. Key responsibilities Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities in Qatar's construction, MEP, and contracting sectors — including major infrastructure and real estate developments such as Lusail City, Msheireb, and Ashghal-led projects. Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders including government bodies (PWA/Ashghal, KAHRAMAA, MMUP), main contractors, consultants, and private developers. Conduct thorough market research on Qatar's competitive landscape, tender pipelines, and emerging project opportunities; translate findings into actionable business strategies. Lead pre-qualification submissions, EOI responses, and tender tracking in coordination with the estimation and project delivery teams. Represent the company at local industry events, trade exhibitions, and professional networks (e.g., Qatar Chamber of Commerce, QCCC, industry forums). Track CRM pipeline data, prepare business development reports, and present performance metrics to senior management. Qualifications & experience Education Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree (MBA) is a plus. Required experience Minimum 4–6 years of business development or sales experience within the Qatar or GCC construction, MEP, or contracting market. Demonstrated knowledge of MEP systems (HVAC, ELV, plumbing, electrical, or fire protection) and their application in large-scale projects. Proven track record of winning new contracts or securing approved vendor status with major contractors and developers in Qatar. Familiarity with Qatar's local procurement and tendering processes, including FIDIC contract frameworks and government vendor registration requirements. Existing professional network with decision-makers at Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors, real estate developers, and government-linked entities in Qatar is highly desirable. Skills & competencies Strong analytical and commercial acumen — ability to assess market data, project pipelines, and competitor positioning to inform strategy. Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English; Arabic proficiency is a strong advantage for engaging with local clients and government stakeholders. Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce, Hub Spot, or equivalent) and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with project tracking platforms is a plus. Self-motivated, culturally aware, and comfortable operating within a diverse, multinational work environment typical of Qatar's construction sector.
