Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Engineer based in Doha, Qatar to be assigned in Operations and Maintenance of Wastewater Treatment Plant. The HSE Engineer will be responsible for overseeing workplace safety, ensuring environmental health compliance, and implementing safety programs and training initiatives. Key tasks include conducting risk assessments, monitoring safety measures, advising on necessary improvements, and collaborating with teams to maintain and enhance workplace safety standards.
Qualifications:Experience:Minimum10 years of experience in wastewater treatment plants and/or drainage and sewage network operations and maintenance.
Competencies:Expertise and sound practice of first aid, emergency preparedness, risk evaluation Expertise in preparing and reviewing documents related to HSE. Expertise of NEBOSH/ ESHBOSH, Firefighting and other related HSE activities. Ability to resolve issues Ability to make good judgments and render good decisions. Ability to work under pressure with self-control and manage conflicts. Ability to conduct group training programs and presentations.
Education:Bachelor's Degree in in any Engineering, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or equivalent experience
Others:NEBOSH L6Lead Auditor Certificate UPDA-registered / or to obtain this year (For engineering degree holder)
