SR. CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISOR


Location: Doha, then Qingdao


Contract Period: 1/4/2026 - 30/6/2029


Qualification:


- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Diploma in Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering discipline, or equivalent plus relevant courses in Safety, Quality Control, and Construction.


Experience:


- Minimum 12 years of experience in supervising the fabrication and offshore hook-up of oil and gas production/wellhead topside and Jackets, construction work, and material inspection.


- Robust experience in FEED and EPIC projects with capability to review/approve contractor deliverables.


- Computer literate. Good communication and interpersonal skills.


- Excellent command of English Language (oral and written).


- Knowledge of industry engineering standards, quality control, safety, and environmental awareness.


- Advanced ability to interpret and review method statements, inspection and test plans, construction schedules, and drawings.


- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to supervise multi-national, multi-cultural contractor workforce.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:


- Responsible and accountable for daily Construction/execution of Structural, Piping, and mechanical aspects of assigned Project to ensure compliance with approved Scope of Work, drawings, engineering design, safety, and environmental standards.


- Interface between management, contractors, and supervisors; provide guidance to ensure construction activities meet project schedule, quality, and HSE requirements.


- Act as site representative to manage Structural, Piping, and Mechanical scope in fabrication yards, offshore installation and hook-up barges, and brownfield modification workboats.


- Participate in onshore fabrication and offshore hook-up campaigns as company representative for Structural, Piping, and Mechanical disciplines.


- Guide the contractor during engineering, review/comment, and approve contractor deliverables.


- Attend key engineering workshops (Constructability review, SIMOPS, Schedule Risk Analysis, 3D Model Reviews, HAZOP, HAZDEM, Lifting Plan reviews).


- Monitor construction execution in accordance with requirements and report performance, manpower, slippages, etc.


- Act as Risk Management representative for identifying risks and leading mitigation actions at site.


- Prepare routine construction progress reports and verify contractor's progress statements.


- Liaise with engineering teams for all construction-related matters throughout project phases.


- Coordinate walk-throughs, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.


- Report anomalies or deviations and recommend corrective actions.


- Ensure contractor compliance with work permit conditions.


- Coordinate mobilization/demobilization of contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors to sites.


- Interface with other contractors, projects, and departments to resolve construction matters.


- Participate in HSE walkthroughs and audits.


- Support in development/enhancement of corporate standards and guidelines.
