About the job Transformer Engineer - 24 Months
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 8+ years in power transformer Installation, maintenance, and repair of power and distribution transformers and accessories.
- Proficiency in industrial electrical wiring and troubleshooting, with the ability to analyze & trouble shoot the faults.
- Working on the installation & testing up to 400kV, 800MVA power transformers, preferably with experience in a transformer manufacturing factory or repair / services.
- Specialized skill set in Distribution, Power, or Transmission electrical substation equipment in voltage ranges of Low Voltage (4160V — 13kV), Medium Voltage (13kV — 69kV), and High Voltage (69kV — 800 kV) up to 800 MVA. 132Kv, 220Kv, 33Kv, 66Kv
- Any technical Certifications are added advantage.
- Expert in Maintenance, service and repair of transformers.
- Responsible for the successful execution of maintenance works and supervising, both technically and administratively their crew members and assigned contractor.
- Provide technical instructions on safe and correct assembly and maintenance of power and distribution transformers, following project scope of work, drawings, and method statements.
- Direct and train crew in the operation of transformer oil processing equipment, ensuring proper documentation.
- Perform complex field service operations that require strong technical skills.
- Troubleshoot and repair of power and distribution electrical equipment, applying own knowledge and experience to resolve problems, recommend changes, or modified procedures to improve performance and customer satisfaction.
- Strong knowledge in on load Tap changers and off load Tap Changers Maintenance and troubleshooting etc.
- Strong Knowledge in Power transformer testing & analysis to identify the root causes.
- Communicate clearly and professionally (written and/or verbal) regarding project scope, safety reviews, security or environmental incidents, safety violations, or near misses.
- Provide leadership and guide less experienced technicians, instructing them in proper and safe operation of equipment and tasks.
