Fourth Dimension Group is a subcontractor supporting major Oil & Gas projects in Qatar and UAE. Our scope includes mechanical and piping construction works such as fabrication, erection, hydrotesting, pre-commissioning, and site execution coordination with the main contractor.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced QC Engineer – Mechanical & Piping with strong Oil & Gas background to oversee quality control activities within our subcontract scope.

The candidate must ensure compliance with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements during fabrication, installation, testing, and pre-commissioning activities.

Project Scope

Mechanical and piping construction works for Oil & Gas projects, including fabrication, installation/erection, hydrotesting, pre-commissioning activities, and overall site execution supervision in coordination with the main contractor.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, drawings, and ITPs
• Conduct inspection of piping fabrication and erection activities
• Monitor fit-up, welding, NDT, hydrotesting, and reinstatement works
• Ensure compliance with ASME B31.1 / B31.3 and project standards
• Coordinate with client inspectors and main contractor QA/QC teams
• Prepare and review inspection reports and documentation
• Verify material certificates (MTC), WPS, PQR, and welder qualifications
• Participate in punch list clearance and mechanical completion
• Ensure all quality records and dossiers are properly maintained

Skills

Mandatory Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 8–10 years Oil & Gas experience
• Minimum 5 years GCC experience preferred
• Strong experience in piping and mechanical QC activities
• Knowledge of ASME / API standards
• Experience in refinery, LNG, petrochemical, or pipeline projects
• Good documentation and reporting skills

Preferred

• CSWIP 3.1 / AWS / ASNT Level II certification
• Immediate availability
