Job Title: Senior HVAC Engineer
Location: Qatar
Qualification:
B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification from a recognised international university
Membership in a relevant professional organisation is preferred
Extensive design and construction experience in HVAC works for building services projects
Experience:
Minimum 12 years’ experience in design, construction, and commissioning of HVAC works for large high-rise buildings
Knowledge of international standards, specifications, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems
Experience coordinating HVAC systems with other engineering disciplines
Experience reviewing and approving contractor submittals, shop drawings, and method statements to ensure high-quality execution
Strong communication, presentation, and team-building skills, including report writing and meeting management
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Act as technical authority for HVAC discipline, providing engineering support across multiple projects
Deliver high-quality design and engineering services to ensure technical integrity while meeting project objectives for safety, time, and cost
Conduct concept definition, engineering studies, and design; prepare engineering documents according to approved standards and procedures
Review, verify, and sign-off technical designs and bids in line with standards
Provide technical advice and support throughout all project stages
Plan and coordinate activities of engineering teams, including reviewing execution strategies
Support management of discipline standards and participate in technical assurance and standardisation activities
Approve or endorse technical deviations, waivers, or variations to guidelines, codes, and standards
Ensure all applicable environmental, process, and safety policies are implemented
Support competency and skills development within the discipline, including structured training for junior engineers
