Job Details

A Director of Groups & Conference is fully responsible for the development and execution of the groups, conference and events strategy, recommending growth efforts, monitoring progress, and ensuring that the hotel is commercially positioned within the local marketplace. Responsible for the event planning and overall execution of all conference and events that take place 

Lead, train, and supervise the Conferences & Groups team, ensuring operational efficiency and strong customer service.

Develop departmental strategies, budgets, and business plans to achieve revenue goals.

Foster a high-performance culture through coaching, feedback, and professional development.

Oversee group bookings, contracts, and negotiations to maximize occupancy and event revenue.

Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue teams to develop competitive pricing, packages, and promotions.

Analyze market trends to identify new opportunities for conferences, group business, and large-scale events.

Ensure accurate forecasting, reporting, and revenue tracking for group and conference segments.

Manage the end-to-end planning and execution of all conferences, group events, and meeting activities.

Conduct pre-event meetings with clients and internal teams to ensure expectations and requirements are fully understood.

Maintain communication with operational departments (F&B, Banquets, AV, Housekeeping, Security, etc.) to ensure flawless event delivery.

Oversee event setup, service standards, and post-event evaluations to ensure client satisfaction.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, corporate partners, event planners, and key accounts.

Serve as the primary point of contact for major conferences and high-profile group business.

Ensure all conference and group bookings are accurately entered into the property management or event management system.

Maintain departmental policies, procedures, and service standards, ensuring compliance with company regulations.

Monitor event spaces, equipment, and inventory to ensure they meet operational and safety standards.

Prepare and review departmental reports, budgets, and performance analyses.
