Company Description We are construction company looking for MEP Draftsman Draft and coordinate complete MEP systems comprising HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire fighting, electrical power, lighting, ELV, and earthing systems using Auto CAD (and Revit where applicable).

Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for an MEP Draftsman located in Doha, Qatar. The MEP Draftsman will be responsible for creating detailed mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Daily tasks will include preparing technical drawings, reviewing engineering designs, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and collaborating with engineers and project teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications Proficiency in Mechanical Drawings, Engineering Drawings, and Technical Drawing Strong knowledge of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and software Experience with Design Engineering concepts and applications Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Familiarity with MEP systems and standards is a plus Diploma or degree in Engineering, Drafting, or a related field Prepare and develop MEP shop drawings, coordinated layouts, and as-built drawings for all building areas, including basements, podiums, typical floors, and high-rise towers, in accordance with approved IFC drawings and project specifications.
Draft and coordinate complete MEP systems comprising HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire fighting, electrical power, lighting, ELV, and earthing systems using Auto CAD (and Revit where applicable).
Demonstrate hands-on experience in basement substructure works such as drainage networks, sump pits, pump rooms, fire fighting systems, electrical substations, generator rooms, and basement ventilation systems.
Prepare vertical risers, shafts, plant rooms, and floor-to-floor coordination drawings for high-rise buildings, ensuring proper system zoning, pressure classification, and maintainability.
Carry out multi-discipline clash detection and resolution among MEP, Architectural, and Structural elements, including raft slabs, pile caps, beams, shear walls, and core walls.
Produce builder’s work and coordination drawings indicating sleeves, block-outs, inserts, openings, and embedded services prior to structural concreting.
Ensure all drawings comply with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS), KAHRAMAA, QCDD, Ashghal, and applicable international standards (NFPA, ASHRAE, IEC, BS).
Incorporate consultant comments, authority remarks, and site redlines, maintaining accurate revision control and drawing registers.
Support site execution by providing technical clarifications, updated drawings, and as-built documentation reflecting actual installations.
Coordinate with MEP engineers, BIM coordinators, QA/QC, and site teams to ensure constructability, sequencing, and timely project delivery.
Adhere to company QA/QC systems and HSE requirements throughout the drafting and coordination process.
