Responsibilities:

1. Operate heavy vehicles such as trucks and trailers to transport goods securely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and safety standards.
2. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to maintain safety and reliability, documenting any issues and reporting them to the maintenance team promptly.
3. Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries while minimizing fuel consumption and vehicle wear and tear.
4. Load and unload cargo safely, using appropriate equipment, and ensure that all goods are secured properly during transit to prevent damage.
5. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance, utilizing company software systems to track and report on logistics activities.
6. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate schedules and address any delivery issues that may arise.
7. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly those related to safety, to create a safe working environment for yourself and others.
8. Assist in training new drivers, sharing best practices, and ensuring they understand company protocols and safety measures.
9. Stay updated on industry trends and regulations, participating in ongoing training sessions to enhance your driving skills and knowledge of logistics.

Skills

• Proven experience as a heavy driver with a valid commercial driving license.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws applicable in Qatar.
