Job Title: HSE Inspector / Supervisor Location: Doha, Qatar
Job Summary The HSE Inspector is responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and enforcing health, safety, and environmental standards at project and operational sites. The role ensures full compliance with GCC regulations and international safety standards, while promoting a strong safety culture across the organization.
Key Responsibilities Conduct regular HSE inspections, audits, and site walkthroughs to ensure compliance with company and GCC regulatory requirements. Monitor workplace activities to identify hazards, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions, and recommend corrective actions. Ensure implementation of HSE plans, method statements, risk assessments (RA), and job safety analyses (JSA). Report incidents, near misses, and non-conformities, support incident investigations and root cause analysis. Verify proper use of PPE, tools, equipment, and safe work practices on-site. Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and HSE awareness sessions. Monitor contractor and subcontractor HSE compliance. Maintain accurate HSE records, inspection reports, permits, and safety documentation. Coordinate with site teams to close out corrective and preventive actions. Support emergency response planning, drills, and environmental protection initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.4–7 years of experience as an HSE Inspector or HSE Officer within the GCC region. Strong knowledge of GCC HSE regulations, local authority requirements, and international standards. Proven experience in construction, oil & gas, infrastructure, industrial, or facilities projects (as applicable).
Certifications (Mandatory / Preferred) NEBOSH IGC (mandatory). IOSH Managing Safely.. Additional certifications (OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001) are an advantage.
