Project Architect

Qatar

Seeking a skilled Project Architect with strong experience in statutory authority submissions and approvals, specifically with MMUP (Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning) in Qatar.


Design & Technical:

- Lead the conceptual stages for architectural projects. Coordinate architectural designs with chosen consultants ; architects ,structural, MEP, ID, landscape, and other consultants.

- Develop architectural drawings, presentations, and documentation using both AutoCAD and Photoshop 

- Liaise with consultants to Ensure all drawings meet Qatar building codes, regulations, and best practices.


Statutory Approvals (MMUP & Other Authorities):

- Prepare, review, and submit all required documents, drawings, and applications to MMUP and other relevant authorities in Qatar.

- Manage the complete permitting and approval process, ensuring timely responses and revisions.

- Maintain updated knowledge of Qatar’s planning and building regulations and advise the team on compliance.

- Liaise with authority representatives to resolve technical comments and obtain final approvals.


Project Coordination:

- Manage project schedules related to design deliverables and permitting timelines.

- Attend coordination meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities.

- Monitor project progress and report risks, delays, or required design changes.

- Ensure quality control of all design outputs.


Site & Execution Support:

- Collaborate with site teams during construction to clarify design intent.

- Review shop drawings and material submittals for compliance with approved design.

- Conduct site inspections as required.

Skills

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture.

- MMUP certification preferred.

- 10–15 years of architectural experience, with at least 3+ years in Qatar.

- Proven experience managing authority submissions and approvals in Qatar.

- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Suite, SketchUp, and MS Office.
