We are looking for a Operations Manager who can lead engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning work for water, wastewater and infrastructure projects. The role requires strict delivery on time, on budget and at the required quality. Manage teams with a clear focus on performance, control project risk and maintain full compliance with safety and contract requirements.
Required Skills
- Project management experience in water, wastewater, and drainage projects
- Experience managing EPC/EPIC projects
- Experience with pumping stations, STPs, desalination/RO plants
- Project scheduling, resource planning, and budget management
- Review of contracts, technical specifications, and design documents
- Preparation of cost estimates and cash flow plans
- Vendor evaluation (technical and commercial)
- Coordination with clients, consultants, and authorities
- Site supervision, installation, commissioning, and handover
- Management of civil, mechanical, and electrical works
- Handling shutdowns and emergency activities for networks
- Team leadership and manpower management (100+ staff)
- Monitoring project progress and preparing reports
- Risk management and health & safety compliance
- Stakeholder engagement and client communication
Skills
Technical Expertise
- Strong knowledge of water/wastewater treatment processes
- Knowledge of RO/Desalination plant operations
- Experience with Qatar and Bahrain government projects (Ashghal, PWA, Kahramaa)
- MS Office proficiency
- Ability to prepare technical documentation and reports
- Ability to review technical drawings and resolve issues
