Senior Project Engineer (High Voltage)

Linum Consult’s client is a major international company currently seeking a Senior Project Engineer with a background in High Voltage works to be based in their Doha office. RESPONSIBILITIES • Overseeing the design, specification, and implementation of high voltage electrical systems, including: substations, switchgears, transformers, emergency power systems, etc. • Reviewing and validating single-line diagrams, load lists, cable schedules, and protection coordination studies • Reviewing technical specifications submitted by the EPCC contractor during the tendering and subcontract award phases to ensure alignment with approved project-specific requirements • Actively participating in multidisciplinary engineering development activities including: HAZOP, HAZID, SIL assessments, QRA, 3D model reviews, constructability and operability reviews • Participating in kick-off meetings with subcontractors to align on technical scope, quality expectations, and schedule • Collaborating with the construction team to ensure proper installation of high voltage equipment and systems

PROFILE • Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering, with a professional certification to a suitable engineering organisation • At least 10 years’ experience in similar roles in large companies, with a minimum of 5 years of major project experience • Good understanding of high voltage projects and equipment, specifically substations, switchgears, transformers, emergency power systems, etc. • Fluent in English and preferably Arabic as well • Good understanding of Qatar and GCC culture & working environment APPLICATION PROCESS If you feel that you have the right background of experience to take up this challenging position, then please formally submit your CV along with your current financial package details for the attention of Francis Ryan to [Click to show email] If your application has been successful, then we will contact you within 72hrs.
