Job Description:
As a Category Manager specializing in Computer and Smart Home Categories, you will play a key role in driving the strategic direction of our product offerings and maximizing sales and profitability within these dynamic and rapidly evolving sectors. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of activities, including:
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and Implement Category Strategies:
- Devise and execute comprehensive category strategies and plans to achieve sales and profit targets.
Market Research and Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth market research to analyze consumer trends, competitor products, and pricing.
- Identify opportunities and make informed decisions based on market insights.
Supplier Collaboration:
- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate and maintain favorable terms, pricing, and contracts.
Adapt to Market Dynamics:
- Monitor market dynamics, including consumer preferences, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
- Adjust category strategies accordingly to stay ahead of the curve.
Product Assortment Management:
- Manage the product assortment, including assortment planning, selection, and optimization.
Pricing Strategies:
- Determine pricing strategies and manage price positioning to optimize sales and profitability.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure alignment with sales forecasts.
- Work closely with the supply chain team to minimize stock-outs and overstocks.
Collaboration with Marketing:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional plans to drive category sales and increase brand visibility.
Sales Data Analysis:
- Analyze sales data and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Make data-driven recommendations to enhance category performance.
Performance Reviews:
- Conduct regular performance reviews of products and suppliers to ensure they meet quality standards and customer expectations.
Industry Awareness:
- Stay updated on industry trends, new product developments, and emerging technologies relevant to the computer and smart home categories.
Cross-Functional Support:
- Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams, including sales representatives and marketing managers, to ensure the successful execution of category strategies.
Marketplace Expansion:
- Lead the Marketplace Vendor Hunt and maintain business (Merchant) partnerships for the online marketplace.
- Drive the expansion of the Online Marketplace portfolio.

Qualifications:
- Must be locally available in Qatar with valid Qatar ID and NOC
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Category Manager, preferably in the Computer (Computer, Tablets, Gaming PCs, Laptop, Monitors, Printers, Scanners, Tablet) and Smart Home (Alexa, Home Lightening, Security Cameras, Heating and Cooling, Pet, Wifi and Networking, Home Entertainment, Smart Kitchen) Categories.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of market trends and emerging technologies in the specified categories.
