Responsibilities
Market Research & Strategy Development
- Conduct in-depth market analysis to understand travel trends, consumer behavior, and the competitive landscape in North Asia.
- Develop and implement market-specific strategies to increase Qatar’s visibility and appeal in Japan, South Korea, and other South East Asian markets, aligning with Qatar Tourism’s broader objectives.
- Identify emerging trends and new opportunities within these markets to refine and adjust tourism strategies.
Marketing Campaigns & Execution
- Partner with the Marketing department to design and implement targeted campaigns for responsible markets, utilizing a combination of traditional and digital marketing platforms.
- Develop and maintain distribution channels by collaborating with local travel agencies, online travel agencies (OTAs), and key stakeholders to promote Qatar as a preimier travel destination.
- Lead Qatar’s participation in relevant trade shows, roadshows, and tourism events across North Asia to enhance Qatar’s presence and build relationships with stakeholders
Partnership & Relationship Management
- Establish and nurture relationships with key tourism stakeholders in North Asian markets, including airlines, tour operators, and government agencies.
- Negotiate strategic partnerships with local stakeholders to enhance Qatar's reach and visibility in North Asia.
- Work closely with local government bodies and tourism boards to ensure compliance with local regulations and foster collaborative relationships that support Qatar's tourism growth.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Regularly track and analyze the performance of tourism marketing initiatives in North Asia, reporting key insights and recommendations to the Senior Manager handles APAC in International markets department.
- Evaluate the success of marketing campaigns, using data-driven insights to refine strategies and optimize results.
- Ensure the achievement of KPIs, including increased visitor numbers, market share, and ROI from tourism campaigns & negotaited trade partnerhsips in North Asia.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Tourism, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in tourism marketing or destination management, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a managerial role overseeing the North Asian market.
- Proven experience managing partnerships with key stakeholders such as airlines, tour operators, and travel agencies in North Asia.
- Korean speaking or Japanese Speaking candidate is prefered
