About the role:

 

Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Technical Engineering team as a Resource Scheduling Officer to be based in Doha, Qatar.

 

As a Resource Scheduling Officer, you will be responsible for rostering of all Engineers and Mechanics within Workshops Operations. You will be responsible for ensuring that manpower all activities performed at Doha home Base are in line with the Qatar Airways CAME and TPM at all times, providing both continued airworthiness of the fleet with operational integrity. You will also be tasked with responsibility of ensuring that all Scheduled and Non-Scheduled maintenance conducted on Qatar Airways Aircraft and its components is carried out to the highest possible Maintenance Standards and Safety in the most productive and cost-effective manner using all available Resources at disposal.

 

Specific responsibilities for the role include:

  • Roster engineers and mechanics to ensure sufficient manpower is available to support component and aircraft maintenance operation.
  • Manage cover for sick leave, vacation, training and outstations as well as managing staff leave through applicable company’s leave system.
  • Coordinate with the Shift Manager / Supervisors and Managers to ensue manpower requirements are met to support the operation.
  • Produce statistics and monitoring overtime levels in a cost-effective manner and ensure equal distribution of overtime between engineers and mechanics taking into consideration the welfare of the employees, quality and safety.
  • Coordinate with Shift Manager / Supervisors and Managers for all component / aircraft maintenance operations training requirements.

Qualifications

About you

 

The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Relevant College or University qualification with minimum 4 years of job-related experience.
  • Recognized Engineering Training and certified in Computer Application – MS office applications.
  • Knowledge on Aviation Personnel Rostering and Planning.
  • Must possess good analytical, planning and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable with Modern technology and skillful in conflict resolutions, planning and coordination.
  • Excellent organizational skills, extremely detail oriented and ability to perform under pressure.
  • Excellent Communication Skills (Verbal & Written English).
