Role Summary
The Vice President – Finance (Regional) is responsible for leading MAF Retail’s finance function within the Regional Hub (Gulf Region: Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman with total revenues of AED 5.1B) and setting strategic directions and annual objectives. The role holder is also responsible for overseeing the development of the annual business plan and leading the function’s strategy to achieve business objectives.
ROLE PROFILE
- Participate in setting and reviewing MAF Regional Hub and MAF Retail’s Strategy in collaboration with MAF Retail’s management while defining the region’s strategic objectives, business plans and budgets.
- Lead the financial planning and budgeting across the company, in order to set financial plans and budgets that are in-line with MAF Retail’s strategic objectives and action plans.
- Direct the process of designing, reviewing and updating financial systems, procedures and policies in collaboration with the Country Finance Managers, ensuring their alignment with MAF Regional Hub and MAF Retail’s strategic direction and objectives.
- Lead the costing process of the company’s products, by balancing between the company’s profit margin and all costs associated with producing the products
- Collaborate with Country Heads on setting their annual objectives, business plans and budgets through cascading down from the department’s objectives, business plan, and budget.
- Review and discuss departments’ budgets with the Country Heads in order to reach a mutually agreed upon budget that balances between department’s needs, actions plans and MAF Retail’s financial position
- Lead the process of preparing and updating financial statements that includes Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow Statement, ensuring statements’ accuracy and compliance with international financial reporting principles.
- Ensure that all financial and regulatory reports required by law, regulations, and management are completed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field is required.
- MBA is preferred.
- 15+ total years of experonce with 10 years in Finance Department with a Managerial position and a minimum of 5 years in the retail industry.
- Demonstrated high level skills in management.
- Experienced communicator, ability to develop stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent presentation skills.
