About the Role
Operational
• Plan, organize and provide system engineering support and supervision for the operation, maintenance, modification, trouble-shooting and repair of the mechanical systems.
• Manage, monitor and improve FM contractors' maintenance delivery while ensuring compliance with best mechanical industry practices, local and international standards.
• Perform toolbox talks/briefing in order to guide and support staff and contractors in their day-to-day activities.
• Perform quality assurance audits for all mechanical systems, in order to ensure proper maintenance is performed and implement any improvements that might be needed.
• Review and validate the newly developed design and construction documents in order to confirm code compliance and existing infrastructure readiness.
• Prepare, coordinate and assist in the preparation of Budgets, special reports, presentation, approval processes, technical specification, facilities management contract documents, tender documents, operation and maintenance manuals, maintenance SOPs in alignment with Asset Management System.
• Study and analyse mechanical assets for the purpose of implementing control measures and improvement projects that shall lead to the reduction of the asset failure risks, the reduction of the asset life cycle costs while maintaining desired level of services and the proper planning of capital assets replacement.
• Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of Department.
Management & Leadership
• Establish department, team objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives.
• Regularly evaluate the department or team objectives, plans, procedures and practices, and makes appropriate changes if needed.
• Oversee and supervise employees. Direct daily activities, recruit, train, develop and discipline to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
• Train and develop other employees, to ensure succession planning is in place.
• To be committed and contribute to the National talent development, by coaching the national developers, preparing them for a career with boundless potential. Leading to the program’s continued growth and success.
Qualifications
About You
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 6 years of job-related experience
Preferred
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Best Maintenance practices on all type of mechanical, electro-mechanical & HVAC systems.
• Testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Servicing and maintenance of all mechanical systems as per OEM recommendations and international standards.
• Trouble shooting of all mechanical systems.
• Airport experience.
• Experience in leading team of supervisors and workers.
• Relevant experience in contract management.
• Sound theoretical and practical knowledge of all mechanical systems.
