Description
As Partnerships Development Manager, you will be working within the Customer Engagement and Loyalty Team, responsible for driving the business development efforts with prospective Non-air Partnerships in relevant “joint-markets”. You will also be responsible for defining and executing the business development strategy for loyalty partnerships in joint markets and act as a lead during the sales process. You will work closely with prospects to understand and support their objectives whilst focusing on delivering commercial value for Qatar Airways and IAG loyalty, and increase the footprint of the Avios brand worldwide.
You will also be responsible to
▪ Drive and deliver the business development pipeline, conduct regular market specific and global benchmarking, cultivating leads and initiating contact with prospects through to negotiation
▪ Work closely with line manager and other relevant counterparts at International Airline Group Loyalty (IAGL) to shape and drive the business development process, particularly sales pitches and commercial negotiations.
▪ Leverage compelling case studies and feedback created by the Global Currency team to support business development activities. Champion the Global Currency vision and the notion of 1+1=3.
▪ Model and evaluate new business opportunities to assess sizing and potential in partnership with IAGL.
▪ Establish effective communication channels with internal stakeholders to enable a smooth sales and onboarding process.
▪ Oversee the delivery of revenue targets & new partner delivery using a combination of progress tracking tools for monitoring and tracking of partnerships overall revenue budget.
▪ Work alongside the business units and finance to create & monitor sustainable and objective business cases for all new partnership prospects including stakeholder signoffs.
▪ Explore new ways of working in establishing new partnerships that lower the cost of partner acquisition, improves the partnership customer proposition & improves economics to Privilege Club.
▪ Align with all finance related compliance when structuring new partnership deals & related governance.

About You
· Minimum qualification of bachelor’s degree or equivalent is essential.
· Minimum 7 years of job-related experience
▪ Regional/global business development experience
▪ Previous technical expertise in Partnerships & Alliances or Loyalty
▪ Experience in a business development or account management environment, preferably with sector background such as Financial Services or Retail in the loyalty industry
▪ Negotiation experience with the ability to take multiple perspectives into account and deliver on time
▪ Experience of working across different markets and cultures Preferred
▪ Experience in an international airline environment
▪ Project Management experience
▪ Airline Frequent Flyer Program (FFP) Partnership development experience
