Key Result Areas:
- Track and advise supervisor of trends and emerging dynamics that could develop to emergencies
- Prepare and archive QF emergency operations reports and records
- Train QF community on the emergency preparedness measures necessary to encounter potential crises and emergencies
- Track international standards, national policy and/or national legislative requirements that may have a bearing on QF EMP, EMP implementation or QF emergency response
- Contribute to the emergency response and carry out the role assigned by the Emergency Management Team Lead
- Develop a plans and procedures in accordance with QF Emergency Management Plan (EMP)
- carrying out regular drills and coordinated exercises to assess, appraise, and enhance the effectiveness of the response system on an ongoing basis.
- Support, guide and advise other entities teams on Emergency Planning themes
- Support Emergency Team in operations and improving performance
- Liaise with external stakeholders on exchanging knowledge and building capacity on Emergency Planning
- Comply with and enforce QF health, safety, and environment policies, procedures, legal regulations and objectives applicable to areas of responsibility to ensure that work is performed in a safe, healthy and environmentally sound manner
- Other reasonable tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- 2-5 years of relevant full-time work experience
- High school certificate, preferably Diploma in Emergency Management, crisis management or other equivalent discipline
- Knowledge of emergency and crisis management technical standards, best practice, specifications and other regulatory or professional standards agencies
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely; Arabic proficiency is an advantage
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
