Strategy and Performance Management:
- Creating and implementing project controls strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the organization's objectives and project requirements.
- Engage with project stakeholders, including clients, project managers, senior management, and external partners, to facilitate effective communication and ensure alignment with project controls processes.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the Department's mid-term strategic plans to ensure alignment with the Department’s strategic priorities, and the corporate goals.
- Contribute to the development of annual business plans for the assigned areas of responsibility to support the achievement of financial and strategic objectives.
- Monitor, control and report key performance indicators related to the Section in order to track performance and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project managers and projects heads to determine resource requirements and ensure timely allocation and utilization of resources.
- Track and analyze project performance indicators such as schedule progress, cost performance, risk management, and quality control to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.
- Change Management: Establishing change control tools to manage scope changes, evaluating their impact on project parameters, and providing recommendations to the project team and stakeholders.
Budget Planning, Cost Estimation and Schedule Management
- Provide input into the preparation and consolidation of the Section’s budget, monitor financial performance
- during the year and identify areas of unsatisfactory performance (if any), and recommend mitigating actions.
- Collaborate with the project team to develop accurate project cost estimates and continuously monitor and
- manage project expenses to ensure adherence to the budget
- Oversee cost estimating, budgeting, and forecasting activities to ensure projects are completed within budget constraints while maintaining quality standards.
Reporting, Documentation and Communication
- Providing regular project controls reports to project stakeholders, senior management, and clients to keep them informed of project status, issues, and potential risks.
- Working closely with project managers, engineers, and other key stakeholders to ensure project control activities are integrated into overall project planning and execution.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, records, and archives to facilitate project audits, reporting, and knowledge transfer.
Skills
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Sciences, Information Technology, or Engineering.
- Preferred (Qualification’ / Discipline): Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Total of 10+ years of experience in Project Controls functions including at least 3 years of experience as Project Controls Head preferably in petrochemical or O&G Industry.
