ISP Assistant Finance Manager Role Profile

Purpose of Role

The Assistant Finance Manager’s role is to assist the Finance Manager with a range of administrative and financial tasks. These may involve assisting with billing invoices, preparing budgets, managing cash flow, and requesting information from colleagues regarding purchase orders.

ISP Assistant Finance Manager Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the FAM in overseeing the financial operations of the school.
  • Prepare reports on the school’s financial performance.
  • Develop and implement systems and controls to ensure accurate financial data processing.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and forecasting process.
  • Manage the day-to-day processing of the accounts payable, accounts receivable and treasury functions.
  • Compile audit requirements for the annual, Transfer Pricing or GTA audits and attend to audit queries.
  • Approve purchase requests within the budgeted allocations.
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations for completeness.
  • Prepare the payroll in Pay lite monthly.
  • Ad hoc duties as required.
  • Review all supplier reconciliation monthly prior to payments.
  • Manage all Capex spend across the school and ensure accurate recording thereof.
  • Assisting with parent queries daily.
  • Act as a backup for the Senior Accountant and Accountant as and when required.
  • Managing debt collection and contacting debtors for overdue debt.

Other Objectives

  • Maintain and improve financial records.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports per ISP deadlines.
  • Contribute to the development of financial strategies.
  • Provide support to the FAM and the Senior Accountant and Accountant.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Other Duties And Responsibilities

Any other duties that the Principal may from time to time ask the post-holder to perform

Position Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance
  • Finance specific certification

Experience: Minimum 4 years’ experience

Language:

  • English is mandatory
  • Arabic is an advantage
