Overview

The Punch List Coordinator (Onshore) is responsible for managing and overseeing the punch list process during the construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases of onshore projects.

This role ensures that all incomplete or non-compliant work is identified, documented, and followed up to ensure timely resolution.

The Punch List Coordinator works closely with construction, engineering, and quality control teams to track and close out punch items before project handover.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the creation, maintenance, and execution of punch lists during the project lifecycle, ensuring that all identified issues are tracked and resolved.
  • Review and verify punch list items to confirm their accuracy and ensure they meet project requirements.
  • Interface with construction, engineering, and quality teams to prioritize punch list items and follow up on outstanding issues.
  • Regularly update punch list status and report progress to project management, highlighting any critical or unresolved items.
  • Organize and conduct punch list walkthroughs and inspections with relevant stakeholders, ensuring all open items are properly documented.
  • Ensure proper documentation of punch list items in line with project requirements, utilizing electronic document management systems (EDMS) as necessary.
  • Facilitate timely closure of punch list items by ensuring coordination between relevant departments and contractors.
  • Participate in final inspections and pre-handover activities to ensure that all punch items are closed or accounted for.
  • Maintain communication with contractors, subcontractors, and other teams to ensure alignment and avoid delays in punch list resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements during the punch list process.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Certifications / Specialization / IT Skills

  • Proficiency in punch list management systems and software (e.g., Procore, Aconex, or similar).
  • Certification in project management or quality management is a plus.

Years Of Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in construction, quality control, or project management, with a focus on punch list coordination in onshore projects.

Technical Knowledge

  • Punch List Process: Strong understanding of punch list management, from identification through to resolution, with experience in coordinating punch list items across various project teams.
  • Construction Knowledge: Solid understanding of construction processes, safety standards, and quality requirements, particularly in the oil & gas or energy sector.
