Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced PMO Consultant to support the Digital Industry sector at the MCIT. The ideal candidate will manage and oversee the execution of strategic digital projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, providing expert project management guidance, and ensuring best practices are implemented for budget tracking, operating plan alignment, tendering processes, and resource management throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and manage the Project Management Office (PMO) framework and processes for digital industry sector’s projects.
  • Define and implement project management methodologies, standards, and tools to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Monitor project performance, timelines, and budgets to ensure timely project delivery and adherence to scope.
  • Track and manage project budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation, cost-effectiveness, and regular financial reporting to stakeholders.
  • Track the operating plan to ensure all project activities align with the broader business objectives and strategic goals of the digital industry sector.
  • Oversee and support the tendering process, including preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and regulations.
  • Prepare and present detailed weekly, monthly, and annual reports on project progress, budget status, and operating plan adherence.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to project teams in the execution of projects.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, reports, and dashboards for tracking progress, budgets, operating plans, and status updates.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies across projects.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including department heads, external vendors, and consultants to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulations, and digital industry sector’s standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in a PMO role, preferably in the digital industry or related sectors.
  • Experience working on government or public sector projects is a plus.
  • Proficient in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or equivalent platforms.
  • Proven experience in budget tracking, financial reporting, operating plan alignment, tendering processes, and report preparation.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
