About the role:
With an increase focus on growing QR Cargo’s network reach through strategic partnerships and interline, there is a need to simplify the overall Interline process, and improve overall quality of product offering to ensure Flown as Planned. You will be responsible for upholding and improving the quality of interline related shipments. You will own the overall creation, maintenance and development of all Master Operating Plan between QR Cargo and OAL (Other Airlines). You will also continuously improve interline product though contributing to the contributing to the creation of operational process, IT development and commercial agreements. You will be responsible for developing Business Cases to ensure profitability of all Interline & Partnerships deals. You will be working on shifts, and that will include working during weekends and holidays as required by the business.
As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include:
- Own the development of Interline-related business cases
- Liaise with OALs and QR Cargo’s internal stakeholders to align all commercial and operational requirements
- Regularize and trouble-shoot all irregular interlines shipment
- Manage all interline queries and quotations
- Analyze data to support management in negotiations for interline rates, tonnages and services with partners
- Analyze and review operational and commercial performance of airline partnerships, report to senior management and create strategies for corrective actions where required.
- Prepare management reports and dashboards to monitor commercial performance of the partnership against set KPIs and provide suggestions on solutions for areas that do not perform adequately.
- Maintain relationships with partner airlines and initiate communication identifying potential sectors or agreements to increase network support.
- Identifying and escalate to management any long-term / systemic problems in QR Cargo’s relationships with its other airlines (OAL), and suggest required steps to correct these problems.
- Contribute to the development of business with partner airlines at mutually beneficial commercial conditions considering QR strategic requirements and management direction.
Qualifications
About you
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with minimum 4 years of job-related experience within the airline/air cargo industry
- Good understanding of airline partnerships and knowledge of the global air cargo
- Working-level experience in developing complex business cases in big international organizations
- Hands-on experience in process mapping and creating policies and procedures, preferably with Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification
- Highly data and process driven with strong analytical and pre
- landscape sentation skills
- Strong critical thinking and commercial acumen
- Ability to prepare engaging presentations for C-levels
- Advanced MS Office skills
- Excellent spoken and written English skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple, time-sensitive deliverables and competing priorities
- Previous experience in creative problem-solving and thinking outside the box is preferred
