The Campus Nurse at Oryx Universal College provides primary healthcare services, promotes health education, and ensures the well-being of students, faculty, and staff on campus. This role involves direct healthcare, emergency response, and health counseling within the college community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first aid and emergency care to students, faculty, and staff in case of injury or acute illness.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Manage and operate the campus health clinic, maintaining supplies and ensuring the clinic is prepared for emergencies.
- Conduct health screenings and assessments, and monitor the health status of individuals with chronic conditions.
- Develop and implement health and wellness programs and workshops to promote healthy lifestyles among the college community.
- Maintain confidential health records and ensure compliance with health data privacy regulations.
- Liaise with local healthcare providers and hospitals to coordinate external medical care and emergency services as needed.
- Provide support and health education to students with special health needs.
- Collaborate with Academic Registrar and People & Culture Coordinator to develop policies and procedures that promote health and safety on campus.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BScN) from an accredited university.
- Valid nursing license from the candidate's home country.
- Successful completion of the Qatar Prometric examination for nurses.
- At least three years of professional nursing experience, preferably in an educational or community health setting.
- Proficient in emergency response with strong clinical skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a diverse population.
- Experience with healthcare IT systems and electronic health record management.
- Knowledgeable in developing and implementing health promotion and wellness programs.
- Ability to work independently and manage health clinic operations with minimal supervision.
- CPR and First Aid certifications are highly desirable.
