Key Accountabilities:
Role purpose: The Senior Digital Product Specialist is responsible for the product planning and execution of QM’s digital products, including gathering and prioritising business, user, and stakeholder requirements; defining the product vision; and working closely with the design and development team, IT and other groups within QM to ensure satisfaction goals and user needs are met and that products align with QM’s mission, priorities and quality standards. This role champions the products and the prioritisation of features across the organisation. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing the development of and tracking successful websites, apps, and other digital experiences and will own the roadmap for products, making decisions about prioritisation. Candidates must be able to demonstrate effective communication, collaboration, and project management skills
Duties & Responsibilites:
Planning & Direction
Defines product development roadmap for specific digital products
Carries out requirements gathering with key stakeholders and user groups to inform the product roadmap
Carries out roadmap prioritisation aligning with QM milestones, direction of travel and digital strategy
Creates and maintains product specifications to brief design and development teams effectively and be the point of contact for all information about QM’s digital products
Captures requirements from the public and the business and prioritises them for sprint
Fulfils the role of Scrum Master in some cases, managing prioritised epics and user stories for product development team for iterative releases
Writes scopes of work for delivery of back-end solutions from external suppliers
Quality / Efficiency
Aligns business objectives with user needs to prioritise features for development
Ensures QM’s products are designed to the highest possible UX and UI standards and reflect QM’s brand values
Ensures a focus on user-friendly and audience-focused experiences
Conducts retrospectives to identify and resolve any outstanding issues
Proactively works with the team to resolve bottlenecks or blockers
Measures and tracks results based on defined goals and KPIs, including web analytics and SEO tracking
Coordinates with Quality Assurance Specialist

Stakeholder Relations
Aligns with QM staff across the organisation during the planning and developing of digital products
Works closely with the UX specialist to interprets business and user requirements into wireframes
Collaborates with colleagues in IT to ensure the necessary infrastructure is in place to meet the needs of the
digital program
Manages approvals processes to ensure web and app designs are approved by senior management in a timely fashion
Identifies opportunities for user testing
Talent Management
Oversees the work of professional staff, technical experts, consultants, and contractors to develop and maintain QM’s digital products
Supports, focuses, and motivates team members to meet their deadlines
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Atleast 9 Years of total experience
- 7+ years of managing digital products using agile methodology
- Knowledgeable about Agile and Lean processes and digital project management methodologies
- Knowledgeable about web development fundamentals, proficiency in HTML and CSS preferred
- Ability to take on a variety of tasks as required on a small team
- A motivated self-starter able to collaborate with others
- Detail-oriented with ability to project manage both longer-term initiatives and shorter-term updates
- Ability to communicate clearly about technology to non-technical colleagues
- Ability to question prioritization and recommend alternative approaches to senior staff
- Skilled in leading digital product teams through an agile process
- Experience with product management, features prioritisation in large scale organisations
- Experience with current web development practice and agile project management
- Experience tracking and reporting on the outcome of digital projects and making data-informed decisions
- Experience with online ticketing and membership systems preferred
- Experienced working with a web CMS
- Experience in working with agile and lean development methodologies
- Essential: Bachelor’s degree and professional experience managing digital products, including websites and apps
- Professional qualification in Agile and Lean development and/or digital project management methodologies
