Pricing Specialist - QACC

As Pricing Specialist within Material Control unit in QACC, you will be responsible contribute towards review and analysis of all cost and pricing related calculations, conducting review of costing and pricing performed by team members while ensuring all prices provided to customer are complete, accurate and in a timely manner. You will lead design and implementation of an overall pricing strategy framework for business, which is integral of all customer-initiated catering and service bidding processes.

To achieve success in this role you will need to:

  • Perform cost comparisons for recipe items as requested by customers (Qatar Airways, Other Airlines, Lounges and etc) in a timely manner.
  • Ensure to take management approvals as and when required for prices and provide right information to the respective internal stakeholders like QACC Customer Services, Menu Development etc.
  • Perform pricing for individual laundry items for all customers and provide prices to QACC Customer Services team for customer approval.
  • Lead design and implementation of an overall pricing strategy framework for the business, which is an integral part of all customer-initiated catering and service bidding processes.
  • Assist internal stakeholders in learning and familiarization of overall pricing and costing requirement pertaining to their respective operational areas.
  • Update prices in JD Edwards after customer approval with proper effective dates.
  • Perform adhoc flight costing exercises and provide prices to QACC internal departments to ensure proper billing and charging processes.
  • Plan random pricing audits within QACC database and systems, document and validate the audit conducted by team members for confirming accurate billing to customers.
  • Review RFRC (Request for Recipe Change) and RFC (Request for Change) calculations performed by team members ensuring its accuracy.
  • Analyse and review costing/pricing performed by team members (especially menu grids, substitutions, etc.) and ensure that the pricing logics and methodologies are accurately applied.

Qualifications

Essential

  • You should have at least a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of job-related experience.
  • Command of English language
  • Good knowledge of MS Office tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word and etc
  • Knowledge of software like JD Edwards, Oracle and/or SAP
  • Knowledge of food industry practices 

Preferred

  • Knowledge of inventory management / financial transactions related to a food manufacturing business
