Taybah Foundation for Development (TFD ):

Taybah Foundation for Development is a Yemeni development institution working in Health, WASH, and Education. It was established in 1996 with a license of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor No. 25.  Taybah seeks to provide high-quality health, WASH, and education services in partnership and cooperation with all concerned parties interested in following the development plans of local authorities.

Overall Purpose

Working as Health Project Officer for TFD team in the Primary Health Care Center in Al Hajrain- Hadramout governorate.
The Health Project Officer of the Primary Health Care Center provides technical support, leadership, and strategic direction, planning, developing, monitoring, and evaluating the implementation of services at the PHC center. This includes management, effective follow-up of the achievement of results against objectives in line with the time frame and budget, and a focus on building the capacity of the staff working in the PHC Center.

Project Overview

TFD is responding to the humanitarian needs in Yemen through integrated health and nutrition service support from King Salman Humanitarian and Relief Center. Primary Health Care Center provides a wide range of services to the local community including diagnosis, treatment, and care of people with health problems, promoting good health, preventing health problems, early intervention, and managing ongoing and long-term conditions. Child health services (treatment of malnutrition and vaccination), reproductive health services, health education, care of the elderly, dental care, laboratory investigation…etc.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising to ensure the delivery of quality care focused on beneficiaries' needs.
  • Managing financial budgets and writing expense reports, requesting funding, and determining how the PHC center allocates those funds
  • Recruiting, training and oversight, management, and supervision of all staff including clinicians, care providers, and administrative staff.
  • Attending meetings and communicating with department managers.
  • Follow up daily work.
  • Planning and coordinating non-clinical, administrative activities 
  • creating plans and strategies aimed at improving service delivery.
  • implementing IT systems and supporting them to ensure an efficient and up-to-date service.
  • performing various quality assurance and risk assessment duties, including the assessment of patient care, well-being and satisfaction
  • purchasing new equipment, supplies, and resources for clinicians and staff to optimize the technology that the PHC center uses
  • managing contracts and service delivery agreements
  • implementing policies, guidelines, and rules to meet government standards

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Medicine/Pharmacy, Community Health or any other degree in other equivalent qualifications.
  • Experience in programs relating to primary health care, maternal and child health, reproductive health, and communicable diseases
  • At least two years of experience in managing primary health care centers/hospitals
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Must have excellent self-motivation
  • Ability to assess health conditions quickly and calmly under pressure as required
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent reading, writing, and speaking ability in Arabic and English
  • Ability to use various computer programs Word, Excel, PowerPoint...
