Marketing Officer - Doha, Qatar


We are seeking an experienced and proactive Marketing Officer to join an established organisation within the education sector.


The role will work closely with the organisation’s senior leadership team, enrolment team and wider marketing function to drive awareness, generate qualified leads and support enrolment growth and retention.


The post holder will develop and execute integrated, multi-touchpoint marketing campaigns designed to build brand awareness, attract qualified leads and nurture prospective families through to enrolment.


The ideal candidate will have experience developing and executing marketing campaigns across both online and offline channels, ideally within the education sector or another customer-focused environment. They will be confident managing expectations across a range of internal and external stakeholders and will be equally comfortable with day-to-day marketing operations, creative content development and delivering projects to tight deadlines.


Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Planning

  • Develop an annual marketing plan designed to drive positive awareness, qualified leads, enrolment growth and retention.
  • Ensure the marketing plan remains on track throughout the year and proactively communicate any risks to key stakeholders, providing ideas and recommendations for mitigation.
  • Work closely with leadership and the wider marketing function to ensure marketing activity supports organisational priorities and objectives.


Brand Management

  • Ensure brand identity and key messages are communicated clearly and consistently across all marketing communications.
  • Act as a brand guardian, ensuring consistent messaging across internal and external communications.
  • Work with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure brand standards are maintained across relevant marketing activity and materials.


Content Marketing

  • Plan and manage an overall content calendar across social media, email, website and other relevant marketing channels.
  • Identify stories, activities and achievements within the organisation that demonstrate key messaging and brand values.
  • Capture relevant moments through photography and videography for use across marketing content, collaborating with colleagues where required.
  • Develop marketing content, review for accuracy, coordinate sign-off and ensure content is published and promoted across relevant channels.


Website

  • Ensure website content is accurate, up to date and aligned with the organisation’s marketing objectives.
  • Check that website pages and functionality are working effectively.
  • Plan and execute new website content in line with the wider marketing strategy and objectives.
  • Work with relevant colleagues and external suppliers where required to maintain and improve the website.


Social Media Marketing & Community Management

  • Proactively manage the organisation’s social media presence.
  • Create and publish engaging written, photographic and video content.
  • Monitor comments and messages and respond promptly in line with community management guidelines.
  • Monitor social media performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to increase engagement and strengthen the organisation’s online presence.


Email & CRM

  • Plan, design, review and distribute email communications to prospective and existing families/customers.
  • Work with relevant teams to ensure communications are appropriately targeted and aligned with wider marketing activity.
  • Review email performance and make recommendations to optimise future campaigns.
  • Support effective use of CRM systems to manage and nurture prospective leads.


Events

  • Collaborate with relevant teams to develop and manage an events calendar that supports lead generation, enrolment and retention.
  • Develop and coordinate promotional activity for events across relevant channels, including email, website, social media, messaging platforms and on-site communications.
  • Support the delivery of marketing activity before, during and after events.


Internal Communications & PR

  • Support the development and distribution of internal communications and PR content on an as-needed basis.
  • Work with senior stakeholders and relevant communications colleagues to ensure messaging is clear, accurate and aligned with organisational priorities.
  • Identify opportunities to showcase positive stories and achievements through appropriate external channels.


Offline Marketing & Collateral

  • Work with relevant stakeholders to develop and coordinate offline marketing activity, including environmental branding, out-of-home advertising, promotional materials, giveaways and other relevant collateral.
  • Ensure offline activity is consistent with the wider marketing strategy and brand guidelines.


Word-of-Mouth Marketing

  • Proactively gather testimonials and positive stories from parents, customers and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to use testimonials and advocacy across website, social media and other marketing channels.
  • Monitor and manage reviews on relevant third-party platforms.


Other Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate flexibility in the duties undertaken, adapting to organisational priorities and the strengths of the post holder.
  • Take on additional marketing responsibilities as required to support the wider team and organisational objectives.


Candidate Profile

  • 2+ years' experience in marketing or marketing communications.
  • Experience within the education sector is desirable but not essential.
  • Creative and self-motivated, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Performance and impact oriented, with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Strong ownership of work, with a proactive approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence working with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent planning, project management and prioritisation skills.
  • Strong content creation skills, including photography, video capture and editing, Canva or similar design tools, and writing engaging, grammatically accurate copy.
  • Good knowledge of social media management and digital marketing channels.
  • Experience creating email campaigns and using CRM tools.
  • Experience editing and maintaining websites through CMS platforms.
  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly when proofreading and reviewing content.
  • Collaborative team player with a flexible and positive approach
