Qatar Galvanizing Co. W.L.L. is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician / Supervisor to join our Production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance of plant machinery and equipment while supervising maintenance and production activities to ensure smooth operations, minimal downtime, and timely delivery of customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant machinery and equipment to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose and repair production machines, overhead cranes, forklifts, and other equipment used in the galvanizing facility.
• Coordinate with the Production Foreman regarding spare parts and maintenance requirements.
• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability.
• Supervise maintenance and production personnel to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and within the required timeframe.
• Provide clear work instructions and monitor team performance to ensure compliance with quality and operational standards.
• Oversee the receiving and dispatch of customer materials, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
• Monitor daily production activities and resolve operational issues that may affect productivity.
• Support the planning and implementation of maintenance strategies to maximize equipment availability.
• Coordinate with the Production Head, Foreman, and Team Leaders to review production targets, maintenance schedules, operational issues, and improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company safety procedures, quality standards, and operational policies.

Skills

Qualifications

• ITI Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, galvanizing, steel fabrication, or heavy industrial environments.
• Experience in maintaining production machinery, cranes, forklifts, motors, pumps, gearboxes, and other industrial equipment.
• Previous supervisory or team-leading experience is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced production environment.
