Your Day to Day

As the Pressman, you will be responsible for ensuring all guest garments, hotel linen, uniforms, and related items are professionally pressed and finished according to the hotel's quality standards. The role requires excellent attention to detail, knowledge of garment care, and the ability to operate pressing equipment safely while maintaining productivity and service excellence. Your main responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Operate pressing equipment, steam presses, and finishing machines safely and efficiently.
• Press and finish guest garments, uniforms, and hotel linen according to required standards.
• Ensure all items are wrinkle-free, properly shaped, and presented in excellent condition.
• Inspect garments and linen for stains, damage, missing buttons, or other issues before and after pressing.
• Apply appropriate pressing techniques based on fabric type and garment requirements.
• Fold, hang, and package finished items according to departmental procedures.
• Maintain consistent quality standards for all pressed items.
• Ensure guest laundry and hotel uniforms are handled with care and professionalism.
• Identify and report any garment damage, defects, or special care requirements.
• Follow established procedures to prevent garment loss, damage, or incorrect handling.
• Ensure all completed items are returned to the correct department or guest in a timely manner.

What We Need From You

Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for:

• Previous experience as a Pressman, Laundry Attendant, or similar role in a hotel, resort, or commercial laundry environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of garment fabrics, pressing techniques, and laundry processes.
• Ability to operate industrial pressing equipment.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic English communication skills required.
