Hiring: Senior Engineer (Electrical) EHV Substation Design Location: Qatar Industry: Power / Energy / Infrastructure Experience: 6+ yrs We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer with a strong background in EHV Substation Design to join a major project in Qatar. If you have a solid track record in high-voltage engineering and GCC experience, we want to hear from you!

Key Highlights & Qualifications

• Experience: 6+ years of dedicated experience.
• Core Expertise: EHV substation design, specifically focusing on 400kV, 220kV, and 132kV (mainly GIS) projects.
• Regional Experience: Previous working experience on substation projects in Doha (Qatar) or KSA is highly preferred. General GCC/Middle East project experience is a major plus.
• Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Skills: Strong mastery of IEC/IEEE standards , utility specifications, and modern engineering design software.

Key Responsibilities

• Experience in EHV Transmission Projects for designing up to 400kV, 220kV, 132kV substation and 132 kV and 220kV transmission lines.
• Primary and Secondary Design, Design Calculation, Software Expert, Single Line Diagram, Industry Standards, Team Management.
• Experience in Overseas Project such as GCC, Middle east countries Preferably.
• Working Knowledge of ETAP. Strong proficiency in design software and working knowledge of ETAP Overseas project experience in GCC/Middle East countries will be preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review design documents for EHV substations, including SLDs, layouts, equipment specifications, and protection & control schemes.
• Perform substation engineering for GIS substations, including primary and secondary system design.
• Ensure designs comply with client specifications, local utility requirements, and applicable IEC/IEEE standard
• Support design reviews, technical evaluations, and site engineering activities when required
