Roles & Responsibilities
Monitors and manages AMI systems including Head End System (HES), Meter Data Management (MDM), and communication networks. • Ensures continuous and seamless communication between smart meters and central systems. • Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves AMI system issues related to connectivity, data flow, and system performance. • Escalates complex or unresolved technical issues to higher support levels or vendors following defined procedures. • Analyzes AMI operational data to provide system performance insights and operational reports. • Performs first-level diagnosis of communication failures and network performance degradation. • Coordinates with IT, metering, telecom, and field teams to ensure system reliability and performance. • Supports system configuration, updates, and minor enhancements under supervision. • Maintains system logs, incident records, and operational documentation. • Ensures compliance with ISO, ISMS, BCMS, and cyber security policies related to system operations. • Ensures adherence to corporate Health and Safety and operational procedures. • Performs any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications / Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline Experience: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in AMI system monitoring, MDM/HES operations, or similar environments. Key Skills: • Proficiency in AMI systems and operational software tools. • Knowledge of smart metering technologies and communication protocols. • Strong analytical, reporting, and coordination skills. • Good communication and teamwork abilities. • Efficiency, Adaptability, Communication, Initiative. • Written and Spoken English is essential; Arabic is preferred.
