Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated High School English Teacher on behalf of our client, a prestigious international school located in Doha, Qatar. Key Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging English lessons that are aligned with the curriculum standards.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and promotes a high standard of behaviour.
* Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
* Develop and adapt teaching materials to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
* Prepare students for internal and external examinations, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills.
* Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and senior leadership regarding student progress and well-being.
* Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher evenings, and whole-school training events.
* Contribute to the wider school community by participating in extracurricular activities.
Qualifications and Experience
* A Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a closely related field.
* A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
* Proven experience teaching English to high school or secondary school students (Years 7-13).
* Experience with the British National Curriculum, IGCSE, or A-Level programmes is highly desirable.
* Exceptional classroom management skills and the ability to create an effective learning environment.
* Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written.
* Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* A genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to student development.
