Role Purpose
To lead and manage the end-to-end accounts payable function, ensuring timely processing of payments, strong financial controls, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, while driving process efficiency and team performance.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice processing, verification, approvals, and payments. Ensure timely and accurate vendor payments in line with agreed terms. Manage and resolve complex vendor inquiries, discrepancies, and disputes. Monitor accounts payable ageing and manage cash flow impact. Lead month-end and year-end closing activities related to AP, including accruals and reporting. Strengthen internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance. Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities. Oversee vendor management, including performance and contract compliance. Support internal and external audits with required documentation and explanations. Lead, coach, and develop the accounts payable team.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.8–10 years of experience in accounts payable or accounting functions. Proven experience in team leadership and stakeholder management. Strong knowledge of ERP systems and financial controls. Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CMA) preferred.
