Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Cleaner to join our veterinary clinic team in Qatar. 

The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our patients, clients, and staff. 

This internship-level position offers hands-on exposure to the daily operations of a veterinary facility and the opportunity to develop essential cleaning and organization skills within a clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitization of patient treatment areas, kennels, exam rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas according to established protocols.
• Disinfect surfaces, equipment, and cages using approved cleaning agents and procedures to prevent the spread of disease.
• Maintain clean and organized supply areas, restocking cleaning supplies as needed while adhering to inventory guidelines.
• Dispose of waste properly, including biohazard and sharps according to clinic policy and local regulations.
• Assist with laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and distributing clean linens and towels.
• Support team members with light setup and breakdown of rooms for appointments, surgeries, and procedures as required.
• Report maintenance issues (e.g., plumbing, lighting, equipment malfunctions) to the supervisor promptly for timely resolution.
• Follow safety and infection control protocols, wearing appropriate PPE and adhering to clinic policies at all times.
• Uphold professional appearance and hygiene standards; greet staff and clients in a courteous and respectful manner.

Qualifications and Requirements

• University degree with a bachelor’s credential preferred; internship-level opportunity for recent graduates or students seeking practical experience.
• Basic understanding of sanitation, hygiene, and infection control in a clinical or hospital-like environment is advantageous.
• Ability to follow detailed cleaning procedures and maintain consistent quality of work.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks.
• Good communication skills in English; Arabic knowledge is a plus in a bilingual setting.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends as required by clinic operations.
• Physically capable of performing cleaning tasks, including lifting moderate weights, standing for extended periods, and moving equipment or supplies.
