- Develop lighting concepts for interiors, facades, landscapes, streets, public areas, and parking zones.
- Translate architectural intent into effective lighting strategies that enhance spatial experience.
- Prepare concept boards, mood boards, and storytelling visuals to communicate design intent.
- Perform lighting simulations using DIALux for illumination levels, uniformity, glare control, and compliance with standards.
- Generate photometric studies, light distribution analyses, and technical comparison reports.
- Prepare and review GSAS lighting reports, ensuring sustainability and energy efficiency requirements are met.
- Create high-quality renderings, visualizations, and photo-realistic lighting scenes using Photoshop, V‑Ray, and related tools.
- Develop impactful presentations for clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
- Support design reviews by presenting lighting concepts, justifications, and alternatives.
- Ensure designs adhere to IES, CIBSE, and relevant local authority regulations for lighting levels, safety, and energy efficiency.
- Integrate codes into design documents, including illumination requirements, power density limits, and environmental guidelines.
- Prepare complete lighting design packages including plans, details, schedules, specifications, and control strategies.
- Collaborate with architects, interior designers, MEP teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure coordinated design execution.
- Assist in the preparation of material submittals and compliance documentation as needed.
Skills
Bachelor’s degree in architecture.
Experience in architectural lighting design for indoor and outdoor spaces (facades, interiors, landscapes, streets, parking) and GSAS report.
Proficient in lighting design software (DIALux, Photoshop, Vray)
Skilled in preparing lighting design presentations, including renderings, visualizations, and concept boards to convey design intent to clients and consultants.
Knowledge of lighting standards, codes, and energy efficiency requirements (IES, CIBSE, local authority regulations).
