About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, optimize, and secure our large-scale database environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience across multiple database platforms and a proven ability to implement high-performance, scalable, and secure database solutions. Key Responsibilities:Manage, maintain, and optimize databases across platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Postgre SQL, and Mongo DB. Write, review, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions. Diagnose and resolve database performance issues using query execution plans, indexing strategies, and resource optimization. Implement advanced backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies, including point-in-time recovery and high-availability solutions. Ensure database security and compliance with best practices, including access control, encryption, and auditing. Design, maintain, and optimize data models, including normalization, denormalization, and multi-dimensional modeling. Use scripting languages (Python, Bash, Power Shell) to automate maintenance, monitoring, and deployment tasks. Lead and execute data migration projects, ETL processes, and integration of disparate data sources. Manage cloud database services such as Azure SQL Database and implement cloud database management best practices. Analyze database performance metrics, forecast growth, and implement scalable solutions. Prepare and deliver presentations on database performance, strategies, and optimization techniques. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and IT managers. Mentor junior DBAs and contribute to knowledge sharing and best practices. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and database methodologies. Required Qualifications & Skills:Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a Database Administrator. Proven experience managing large-scale and complex database environments. Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Database Administrator or Azure Certified Database Specialty are a plus. Strong expertise in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and database security. Experience in cloud database services and modern database architectures. Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proven ability to lead database projects and mentor team members.
