About the role 


An exciting opportunity to join the Qatar Airways Group Health & Medical Services Department as Operational Nurse Manager. This role is a pivotal role within Qatar Airways’ Nursing Hub, providing operational and strategic assistance to the Operations Manager – Nursing in managing service expansion, quality improvement, and accreditation projects. The role ensures seamless coordination and execution of initiatives across primary care,teletriage/ teleconsultation services, mobile clinics, occupational health services, specialist clinics, staff recognition programs, and international standards accreditations (JCI, Magnet).


Key Accountabilities 


  • This position is ideal for a highly organized, proactive nursing professional with project coordination experience and a passion for healthcare innovation, operational excellence, and multidisciplinary collaboration.


  • Assist the Operations Manager – Nursing in planning, coordinating, and monitoring key projects by managing timelines, deliverables, KPIs, and preparing reports and dashboards to ensure successful implementation of initiatives such as CDC Teletriage, mobile clinics, Crew City Clinic, OH services expansion, specialist clinics, and staff recognition programs.


  • Serve as liaison between clinical teams, administrative staff, and leadership by supporting policy development, scheduling, resource allocation, and operational audits to maintain smooth operations and compliance with service standards.


  • Support licensing and accreditation initiatives (JCI/Magnet) through documentation, evidence collection, internal audits, and collaboration with governance teams to achieve and sustain accreditation and continuous quality improvement.


  • Coordinate meetings, workshops, and training sessions by acting as point of contact and preparing communication materials to ensure effective stakeholder engagement and project visibility.


  • Collect, analyze, and present operational and project data by maintaining accurate records and preparing performance reports to support informed decision-making and compliance tracking


  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the GHMS nurses, promoting a culture of professional excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.


  • Support daily operations of GHMS nursing serviecs, ensuring efficient clinical request management, scheduling, and service coordination.


  • Support regular team meetings, case discussions, and clinical supervision sessions.


  • Support the coordination of staff training and competency assessments in alignment with organizational standards and accreditation requirements.


  • Support recruitment, orientation, and performance evaluation of nursing staff.


  • Implement quality improvement initiatives, patient safety measures, and evidence-based protocols within the service.


  • Collaborate with other departmental leaders to align nursing services with overall organizational health objectives

Qualifications








We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to join our Group Health & Medical Services team. The ideal candidate should possess the following:


Essential:


  • Minimum 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in primary care, occupational health, or corporate healthcare.


  • Demonstrated experience in project coordination, service improvement, or operations support.


  • Exposure to JCI or Magnet accreditation processes is highly desirable


  • Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking abilities.


  • Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills.


  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.


  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-focused.


  • Competence in data analysis, reporting, and digital health systems.


  • Understanding of healthcare service expansion, quality improvement, and accreditation standards
