Job Description SummaryThe Global On Wing Support EHS Leader will be responsible for standardizing an EHS strategy, including risk reduction, ergo, compliance, hazardous waste management, etc., aligned with business culture, division, and Value Stream priorities across all On Wing Support (OWS) Facilities.
This person will follow an individual leader standard work, and must also meet day-to-day short-term objectives. Candidates must have an ability to resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning, and also be able to project-plan long term initiatives. Positive working relationships with the team of technicians, support staff, and customers are critical to the success of this role.
The Global EHS Leader will be accountable for EHS compliance requirements and will ensure a culture of open reporting and continuous improvement of safety at the On Wing Support sites and the Field Work. Ultimately, one will maintain a safe physical & psychological environment, including physical layout of work area and ergo considerations.
GE On Wing Support is a 24 / 7 / 365 operation. Applicants must be willing and able to support calls during off-hours - if emergency situations arise.

In addition, the EHS Leader will:
Manage the standardization of EH&S policies, procedures and protocols across OWS
Lead and Coach the Global OWS EH&S community and stakeholders on all aspects of our FLIGHT DECK operating system, including maintaining performance measurement relative to KPIs, problem solving activity and continuous improvement culture across OWS globally.
Create strategy for employee engagement in EHS, including frequent interactions with the team about safety
Support EHS Framework (FW) strategy and proactively assist FW Element Owners with scoring and implementation.
Identify safety issues and work with team to pursues solutions, escalating issues to leadership as required.
Drive investigations and read-across activity. Develop and maintain event analysis (incident investigation) process(es).
Manage and support EHS training curriculum and completion.
Develop and maintain Management of Change (MOC) process related to EHS & facilities and routinely evaluate the effectiveness of the process.
Standardize site Hazard Heat Map and supporting Strength of Defense matrices. Update regularly based on event analysis and learnings across OWS and ATMRO
Know and identify regulatory requirements and responsibilities, including safeguards, related to EHS and Facilities
Actively participate and lead Risk Assessments with cross-functional team
Perform site and field level audits and inspections aligned with EHS and Facilities Management Systems
Review contractor / vendor pre-work and ongoing activities (including maintain ComplyWorks) and support the oversight of Contractor work
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and 5+ years of advanced Environmental, Health & Safety experience (or a minimum high school diploma / GED with an additional 4+ years of advanced Environmental, Health & Safety experience).

The base pay range for this position is $137000 - $190000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on April 1st, 2026.
