Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a leading technology solutions and services provider in Doha, Qatar. Our client is looking to hire a Senior Network Architect who will be responsible for the strategic design and planning of enterprise-wide network architectures to support current and future business needs. This role ensures the network infrastructure is scalable, secure, resilient, and aligned with organizational objectives and SLAs. The architect will lead design initiatives, oversee complex deployments, and provide technical leadership to engineering and NOC teams, ensuring the seamless integration of advanced technologies.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Network Architecture
- Define and design comprehensive enterprise-level network architectures (LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, NAC, Cloud).
- Develop long-term strategies for network scalability, resilience, and security.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations for adoption.
Governance & Standards
- Establish and enforce network design standards, policies, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with relevant security frameworks and regulatory requirements.
- Lead architecture review and approval processes.
Solution Design & Implementation
- Architect and oversee the deployment of advanced networking solutions (Routers, Switches, WLC, ISE, DNA Center).
- Integrate cloud networking and hybrid infrastructure solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance during complex implementations.
- Support foundational network automation initiatives using tools such as Python or Ansible.
- Contribute to the introduction of AI-assisted tools to enhance troubleshooting and operational efficiency.
Performance & Optimization
- Guide NOC teams in proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and network optimization.
- Define KPIs and benchmarks for network performance and health.
- Conduct capacity planning and risk assessments.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Mentor and guide network engineers and administrators.
- Collaborate with system architects, cybersecurity teams, and vendor partners.
- Act as the primary technical authority for network-related decisions.
Documentation & Reporting
- Produce detailed high-level architecture diagrams and design documents.
- Deliver executive-level reports on network health, risks, and strategic roadmap.
Requirements- 10+ years in IT networking, with at least 3 years in architectural or senior design roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- CCNP and CCIE certifications are mandatory.
- Additional certifications in cloud networking (AWS/Azure) or security (CISSP, CISM) are highly advantageous.
- Proven track record in designing and implementing large-scale enterprise networks.
- Deep expertise in routing, switching, and advanced protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VRF, VXLAN, SD-WAN).
- Expert-level knowledge of enterprise networking solutions (Routers, Switches, WLC, ISE, DNA Center, ACI).
- Strong understanding of cloud networking (Azure, AWS, GCP) and hybrid architectures.
- Proficiency with network monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, Wireshark).
- Hands-on experience with network automation tools and scripting (Python, Ansible, APIs).
- Familiarity with AI-assisted network tools or platforms is a plus.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
