Job Details

Job Purpose The IT Business Analyst – IT/OT is responsible for analyzing user and business requirements, translating them into system and project specifications, and supporting the development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of IT/OT systems supporting plant operations. The role ensures that delivered solutions meet end-user requirements, operate reliably, and support business efficiency, safety, and operational excellence. This position plays a critical role in supporting plant operations systems, coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders, and ensuring high levels of system availability, performance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities IT Governance & Management Systems Comply with QAFCO Integrated Management Systems including Quality, Environment, Occupational Health & Safety, Responsible Care, Energy Management, and IFA Product Stewardship. Follow company IT policies, procedures, standards, and methodologies. Maintain awareness of QAFCO’s Vision, Mission, Strategic Map, and Core Values.
Business Analysis & Requirement Management Consult with business users to identify, analyze, and document business requirements and process improvement opportunities. Translate business requirements into system specifications, functional designs, and technical documentation. Convert requirements into process maps and logical flow diagrams to clearly illustrate system behavior and outputs.
IT/OT Systems Support (Plant Operations) Support and maintain Honeywell applications including:PIMS (Plant Information Management System) PHD (Process Historian Database) UPS (Uniformance Process Studio) PCT (PHD Configuration Tool) AFM (Advanced Formula Manager) AMS (Alarm Management System) Operations Monitoring and Production Balance systems Support Baker Hughes applications related to plant operations. Ensure high availability of IT/OT systems with minimal downtime. Coordinate with Honeywell, Baker Hughes, internal IT teams, Automation, Plant Productivity, and other stakeholders. Develop operational and management reports and identify improvement opportunities. Support IT maintenance improvement initiatives.
Application Development & Technical Support Develop and support web and Windows-based applications using HTML, Java Script, and . NET technologies. Define and implement system enhancements and program modifications in coordination with vendors and business users. Perform patch management for IT business solution systems. Analyze system issues and coordinate resolution, including system modifications where required.
Testing, Deployment & Documentation Perform unit testing and regression testing to ensure solutions meet business requirements and specifications. Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and obtain business sign-off. Prepare and maintain system installation guides, testing procedures, and operating manuals to ensure user-friendly systems.
Systems Maintenance & Problem Resolution Maintain and enhance existing applications to improve performance and adapt to changing business requirements. Investigate system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive solutions. Provide second-level support for issues escalated by end users.
Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Management Stay updated on new IT/OT technologies, tools, and best practices relevant to plant operations. Review technical documentation, manuals, and industry publications to enhance system support and development capabilities. Support continuous improvement and innovation initiatives within IT Business Solutions.
Support to Management Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support departmental objectives and projects.

Customer-focused with a collaborative team-oriented mindset. Flexible to work on-call and outside normal business hours as required for system maintenance. Educational Qualifications & Experience Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognized university. Professional IT certifications are an advantage. Experience Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in IT Plant Operations Systems.3–5 years of hands-on experience in . NET application development. Proven experience supporting Honeywell and Baker Hughes systems in plant operations environments.
