The IT Specialist is responsible for providing technical expertise, maintaining IT systems, and ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient technology operations. This role focuses on hands-on technical support, system administration, and implementation of IT solutions to support business needs.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:



Technical Support & Operations




  • Provide Level 2 / Level 3 technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.

  • Diagnose and resolve complex IT incidents and problems.

  • Monitor system performance and ensure system availability.

  • Maintain system documentation, configurations, and procedures.

Infrastructure & Systems Management




  • Support servers, networks, storage, and cloud services

  • Manage user accounts, access rights, and permissions (Active Directory / Azure AD)

  • Assist with system patching, upgrades, and deployments

  • Ensure backup, recovery, and data protection processes are followed

Cybersecurity & Compliance




  • Implement and monitor cybersecurity controls (antivirus, EDR, firewall rules)

  • Support vulnerability management and remediation

  • Enforce security policies, password standards, and access controls

  • Assist in security incident response and investigation

Applications & Tools Support




  • Support enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, POS, HR systems, Microsoft 365)

  • Troubleshoot application issues and coordinate with vendors

  • Assist with system integrations and automation tasks

Project & Improvement Support




  • Participate in IT projects, migrations, and technology rollouts

  • Identify opportunities for system improvements and efficiency gains

  • Assist with testing, documentation, and user training

Qualifications:




  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

  • Relevant technical diploma acceptable with strong experience.

  • 3–6 years of hands-on IT experience.

  • Experience supporting enterprise IT environments.

  • Exposure to both infrastructure and end-user support.

  • Windows / Linux server administration.

  • Networking (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP).

  • Active Directory / Azure AD.

  • Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).

  • Backup and recovery solutions.

  • Basic cloud platforms (Azure / AWS).

  • Microsoft Certified (Azure, M365)

  • ITIL Foundation
