Job Summary The purpose of this role is to manage, plan and coordinate services provided to patients. Ensure a clear and smooth process and procedure for the patients especially for those seeking interdependent services. Key Accountabilities Responsible for the administration of the Outpatient clinic and the coordination of assessment appointments between the medical and therapies teams, increasing efficiency and quality of care. Addressing and channelizing patient complains/ issues/ queries to attain maximum patient satisfaction. To develop systems to enable the smooth functioning of the outpatient department internally and with its interfaces. Liaise with the multidisciplinary team in making urgent appointments and coordinating appointments. To be accountable for an accurate and effective filing system in the Outpatients department and the secure, tracked transport of patient files between departments To take responsibility for preparing case files for clinics. To follow up clients who do not attend appointments. To receive and distribute mail for the Out-patient department, highlighting priority enquiries To maintain the confidentiality of all client data Regularly tour the facilities and service area to solicit feedback regarding performance and needs Involved in setting long, medium, and short-term goals and plans for services expansion as the need dictates with the Administrator’ s approval. Participates in committee’s functions relative to outpatient clinic, attend professional/civic service organizations as hospital representative as directed. Performs other related duties as assigned. Education A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administrations or related field Experience6 years’ experience in healthcare administration out of which 2 years in Outpatient appointment bookings.
