Position Overview:

We are seeking a Field Operator - Ethylene to join our Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment in the Ethylene plant, ensuring safe and efficient production while complying with QAPCO’s quality and HSE standards.

Key Responsibilities:

???? Operate process equipment and troubleshoot issues across multiple areas to meet production targets.

???? Monitor equipment performance and ensure compliance with operating procedures.

???? Collect and record operational data, identifying and reporting any abnormalities.

???? Oversee the loading/unloading of raw materials and products as per HSEQ standards.

???? Support maintenance activities, ensuring safe handover and return of equipment.

???? Participate in commissioning, start-ups, and emergency response activities.

???? Communicate effectively with panel operators and other shift staff to ensure smooth operations.

???? Maintain detailed logbooks and process logs.

???? Operate a forklift as per production and safety requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

✔ Education: Diploma in Chemical Engineering or relevant.

✔ Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Ethylene plant Naphtha cracker Petrochemical industry.

Skills

✔ Technical Skills:

• Understanding of Steam Cracking processes used in Ethylene production.
• Familiarity with furnace operations, quenching, and compression in Ethylene plants.
• Knowledge of separation and purification processes in Ethylene production.
• Awareness of operational challenges such as coking, fouling, and pressure drops.
• Knowledge of petrochemical plant operations and QAPCO’s products.
• Understanding of Distributed Control System (DCS) panel operations.
• Awareness of HSE and quality standards.
• IT proficiency and data recording.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and time management.

Work Environment:

Close coordination with Shift Supervisors, Panel Operators, and Senior Operators.

Adherence to strict safety, quality, and operational guidelines.

Collaboration with internal teams, contractors, and service providers.
