Villa Manager - Corinthia

The Villa Manager will need to oversee the daily operation and interaction of the staff and of course the villa residents. In addition the manager will act as an ambassador of the Corinthia culture. Managing the interface with the Hotel and its services to Villas. Further, to introduce robust process both within the team and to wider 3rd party contractors. Together with other specialists within the CHI framework, to implement a measurable means by which the asset can be preserved and enhanced and future capital expenditure and investment considered and structured avoiding any unforeseen costs.


The post holds full fiscal and operational responsibility for the Villas including budget preparation and financial management and the welfare and development of committed and motivated staff. Identifying opportunity and training needs where they exist.


The position comprises two principle elements – Property Management and Hotel type services only associated with the Villas and job holder should therefore posses demonstrable evidence of both attributes as follows: -


  • A good understanding of property management and the Landlord and Tenant Act, service charges and capital expenditure – (60-70% capability)
  • Subscribes to and overtly promotes a culture of and a demonstrable commitment to exceptional customer service excellence and innovation – (30-40% capability)


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • The day-to-day supervision of the concierge/security staff, cleaners, and any other directly employed and contract staff including recruiting replacements as necessary.
  • Ensuring, that the highest level of security and services are provided to the residents at all times.
  • Dealing with resident’s general problems and acting as appropriate liaison with any complaints reported promptly to the GM.
  • Directing, supervising and regulating the conduct, time keeping and efficiency of all members of Villas staff.
  • Supervising both planned and reactive maintenance of all communal residential plant and machinery and ensuring that the maintenance contractors fulfil their obligations in terms of frequency of visits and response times.
  • Dealing with and recording all disputes between residents, staff, contractors, delivery personnel or any other visitors to the building, as well as any injuries, accidents or other incident affecting the building, residents, visitors or staff.


  • Implementing and reviewing procedures for Health and Safety training and maintaining efficient staff training records.
  • To ensure all staff perform their duties in an effective, considered and courteous manner and that staff dress and conduct themselves in a manner commensurate with CHI standards and expectations.
  • To prepare a rota of duties and ensure that all positions associated with the daily activities of the building are sufficiently addressed.


Skills

·        Competence in using computer databases and word/excel spread sheets /PowerPoint systems.

·        Good technical competence and understanding of M&E and building fabric issues.

·        Meticulous planning skills. Able to create structure and order in their environment.

·        Demonstrates a sense of quiet and considered urgency and is tenacious and keen to “get the job done”.

  • Opera, Microsoft usage is a must
  • Problem solving skills with the ability to adopt a logical approach to solving problemss of MS Office.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Written and verbal fluency in English. 
  • Fluency in another major language and added advantage.
