We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Engineer to join our dynamic team in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, construction, and maintenance of our facilities, ensuring they meet safety, compliance, and operational standards. This role requires a proactive approach to facility management, including the implementation of efficient systems and processes that enhance the functionality and sustainability of our buildings. The Facilities Engineer will collaborate closely with various departments, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure that all facilities are maintained to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
2. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to extend the lifespan of equipment and facilities.
3. Coordinate with contractors and vendors for repair and maintenance services, ensuring quality and timeliness of work.
4. Manage facility projects from conception to completion, including renovations and new construction.
5. Prepare and maintain documentation related to facility operations, maintenance records, and compliance reports.
6. Analyze facility performance data to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
7. Ensure that all facilities are equipped with the necessary safety and emergency equipment, and conduct regular training for staff.
8. Collaborate with the sustainability team to implement green building initiatives and reduce energy consumption.
9. Serve as the primary point of contact for facility-related inquiries and issues from staff and management.

Preferred Candidate:

1. Possesses a degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Has at least 5 years of experience in facilities management or engineering, preferably in a consulting environment.
3. Demonstrates strong project management skills with a proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects.
4. Exhibits excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse teams.
5. Shows a strong understanding of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems.
6. Is detail-oriented and possesses strong analytical skills for problem-solving.
7. Has a proactive attitude and is able to work independently as well as part of a team.
8. Holds relevant certifications in facilities management or engineering (e.g., LEED, CFM, or similar).
9. Is knowledgeable about local building codes and regulations in Qatar.
