JOB PURPOSE:
Drive any vehicle assigned in order to safely and efficiently transport and pick up / drop off vehicles, passengers or items as per the instructions of the Station Supervisor / Customer Service Representative.
KEY RESULTS AREAS / DELIVERABLES:AND KEY ACTIVITIES:
TRANSPORT / PICKUP SERVICE
Carry out the pick-up and drop-off of vehicles or items from one location to another in a most timely manner.
- Pick up and drop off vehicles from one location to another as per instructions of the Supervisor.
- Ensure the drop off or pick up in the most timely and efficient manner.
- As and when necessary, secure proper receipt for delivery and submit to the Supervisor.
- Be knowledgeable on the different roads and routes that can be used in order to avoid traffic and arrive on time.
VEHICLE INSPECTION
Conduct Vehicle Inspection, as and when required, for vehicles before its delivery, released or receipt to ensure that its conditions is the same as when it was released.
- Conduct visual inspection of vehicle’s interior and exterior, noting down each noticeable nicks, dents and other damage.
- Document and verify fuel line when the vehicle was released / received, for Supervisor / CSR’s information.
- Verify tools and spare tire are present on both receipt and release of the vehicle; inform the CSR / Site Supervisor for their action.
SAFETY AND COMPLIANCE TO REGULATIONS
Ensure proper compliance to safety and traffic regulations in order to prevent accidents in the future.
- Drive safely and defensively at all times ensuring the safety of the Vehicle or the passenger.
- Stay Alert and follow Traffic Regulations at all times.
- Be updated on any new or revised Traffic Regulations to prevent committing any violations in the future.
- Ensure that their Driver’s license is valid, renewed and not suspended.
- Timely report any accidents, injuries and unsafe working conditions to the Supervisor.
AD HOC ACTIVITIES
Carry out and accomplish other instructions or request from the Fleet Supervisor / Site Supervisor.
- Carry out instructions or request on time and within the satisfaction of the requestor.
- Discuss with the Supervisor when and if the request or instruction may delay the normal task assigned.
Skills
EDUCATION:
- High school / secondary degree graduate
- Must hold valid Driver’s Licenses in Home country and Qatar with the respective vehicle category
EXPERIENCE:
- At least 2 years relevant work experience within a driving role
COMPETENCIES:
- Basic Communication Skills in English (essential) and Arabic (desirable).
- With knowledge in Basic car maintenance.
- Knowledge of Qatari Traffic Laws and Regulations.
- Knowledge of the different roads and routes in Doha and Qatar.
- Good eyesight and excellent motor skills function.
- Customer Service Oriented.
- Presentable and Professional.
