The Sales Manager – Credit Cards is responsible for driving credit card sales through direct sales teams, channel partners, and other banking verticals. The role involves developing and implementing sales strategies, achieving targets, managing a team, and ensuring compliance with banking regulations.


Key Responsibilities:


Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve credit card acquisition targets.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, partnerships, and alliances.
  • Manage relationships with channel partners, DSAs, and direct sales teams.
  • Conduct regular market analysis and competitor benchmarking.
  • Drive cross-selling of credit cards to existing bank customers.


Team Management & Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales agents.
  • Set performance goals, track progress, and motivate the team.
  • Conduct regular sales training, coaching, and performance reviews.

Customer Engagement & Experience

  • Ensure high customer satisfaction through seamless onboarding and service.
  • Address customer grievances and escalations efficiently.
  • Promote responsible selling practices and ethical banking.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Achievement of monthly and annual credit card sales targets.
  • Growth in customer base and portfolio value.
  • Productivity and performance of the sales team.
  • Customer satisfaction and complaint resolution metrics.




Skills

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred) in Business or a related field.
  • 8+ years of sales experience in banking, financial services, or credit card industry.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven track record in sales target achievement.
  • Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance for credit cards.
